The Journal of the American College of Radiology (JACR) is a monthly peer-reviewed journal of the American College of Radiology (ACR) which has been published since 2004 by Elsevier. Its current Editor-in-Chief is Ruth C Carlos, a radiologist at the University of Michigan.

The journal publishes articles and research on the practical issues related to clinical practice encompassing clinical leadership, management, training, medical education and health service policy. On the whole it does not publish traditional basic and clinical imaging-related research which is well served by the many other mainstream radiology journals.

History

Issue one of the Journal of the American College of Radiology was published in January 2004, its founding Editor was Bruce J Hillman. His successor Ruth C Carlos, was appointed in 2018, and started on 1 January 2019 3.
