Abdominal aortic aneurysm

Patient was scheduled for angiography and PTA of the left leg.

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
DSA (angiography)

Abdominal aortic aneurysm: notice the calcified wall of the aorta and left iliac artery, suggesting even bigger aneurysms.

Case Discussion

The patient was unaware of the aortic pathology. On angiography and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) of the left leg a giant AAA was found. The patient was transferred to surgery.
