Abdominal desmoid tumor

Presentation

Symptoms of DVT in the left lower limb. A pelvic mass was discovered with ultrasound during the DVT exam. Further MRI and CT scans were obtained.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
MRI

Pelvic mass displacing the uterus to the left, causing compression on the bladder and in both ureters.

CT

Pelvic mass displacing the uterus to the left, causing compression on the bladder and in both ureters, causing hydronephrosis.

Case Discussion

The patient underwent a surgical biopsy with the histology and the immunohistochemical staining confirmed the diagnosis of a desmoid tumor.
