Achilles tendon partial tear

C/o pain tenderness and swelling at ankle joint. No history of trauma

Patient Data

Age: 44 years
Gender: Female

There is thickening of the lower portion of Tendo Achilles with intrasubstance altered signals. Significant retrocalcaneal bursal effusion. Marrow edema at insertion site of calcaneum. Subcutaneous edema at posterolateral aspect of the ankle joint. Minimal tenosynovitis of peroneal tendons.
