Ankle fracture - Weber C

Ankle tilt, fracture and ORIF.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

Internal fixation of the medial mallelous by two metallic screws.

Widening of the medial ankle gutter and lateral talar dome tilt.

Avuslion fracture of the malleloar tertius (posterior mallelous).

Proximal fibular fracture showing bone displacment (Maisonneuve fracture)

Spotty scattered periarticular small lucent foci, likely representing disuse osteoporosis 

Case Discussion

In Weber C fractures, fibular fractures are above the level of the tibial plafond.
