Case Discussion

Most of the world uses an internationally accepted tooth notation system based on Fédération Dentaire Internationale notation adopted by the International Standards Organization (ISO) standard. In the United Stated of America, a different system is used. The U.S. system is often called the Universal Numbering System. There is another numbering system not shown in this illustration that is used in the United Kingdom called the Palmer notation.
